වයඹ පළාත තුළ අනාථ, අත්හල හා අසරණ දරුවන් කායික, මානසික, අධ්යාපනික හා සදාචාරාත්මක වශයෙන් සංවර්ධනය කිරීමත්, ඔවුන් උදෙසා සියලු ආකාරයේ සුබසාධන කටයුතු හා ආදරය, කරුණාව, රැකවරණය සැලැස්වීමත් තුළින් සියලු දරුවන්ගේ ළමා අයිතිවාසිකම් සහ එම දරුවන්ගේ සමාජ ගරුත්වය ඇති කිරීමත්, නීතිය හා ගැටුණු වරදකරුවන් හා වින්දිත දරුවන් පුනරුත්ථාපනය කිරීමත් අපගේ මෙහෙවර වේ.
Our mission is to develop orphaned, abandoned and helpless children in the Northwestern Province physically, mentally, educationally and morally, to provide them with all kinds of welfare activities and love, kindness and care, to ensure the rights of all children and the social dignity of those children, and to rehabilitate offenders and child victims who have come into conflict with the law.

7. අඩු අදායම්ලාභී පවුල්වල ළමයින් වෙනුවෙන් අධ්යාපන පෝෂණ ආධාර ලබාදීම | Providing educational and nutritional assistance to children from low-income families

ආයතනයේ ප්රධාන කාර්යයන් | The main functions of the Department
- අනාථ, අත්හල, අසරණ හා අපයෝජනයට ගොදුරු වූ දරුවන් රැක බලා ගැනීම | Caring for orphans, abandoned, helpless and abused children
- පරිවාස නියෝග මත පුනරුත්ථාපනයට යොමු කල පරිවාසිකයන්, සුදුසු පුද්ගල පරිලෝචන නියෝග මත අධීක්ෂණයට යොමුකල නීතිය හා ගැටුණු මෙන්ම පාලනාතික්රාන්තිභාවය හේතුවෙන් සහතික පාසල්, අනුමත පාසල්වලට යොමුකල ළමුන් හා යෞවනයන්ට අදාල පසුභාර අධීක්ෂණ කටයුතු | Follow-up supervision activities related to children and youth who have been referred to certified schools and approved schools due to their conflict with the law and administrative infractions, who have been referred to supervision under appropriate personal review orders, who have been referred to rehabilitation under probation orders,
- ළමා රැකවරණ සේවයේ යෙදී සිටින ස්වෙච්ඡා සංවිධාන මගින් පවත්වාගෙන යනු ලබන ළමා නිවාස හා දිවා සුරැකුම් මධ්යස්ථාන සම්බන්ධව විමර්ශනය, අධීක්ෂණය, ලියාපදිංචිය හා ආධාර සැපයීම | Investigation, supervision, registration and provision of assistance to children’s homes and day care centers run by voluntary organizations engaged in child care services
- ළමා අයිතිවාසිකම් ප්රඥප්තිය ක්රියාත්මක කිරීම හා ළමා අයිතීන් ආරක්ෂා කිරීමට අවශ්ය පියවර ගැනීම | Implementing the Convention on the Rights of the Child and taking necessary steps to protect children’s rights
- දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවට යොමු කරනු ලබන බාලවයස්කරුවන්ගේ චරිත හැඩගස්වා පුනරුත්ථාපනය හා නැවත සමාජගත කිරීම සඳහා යොමු කිරීම | To shape the characters of juveniles referred to the department and refer them for rehabilitation and resocialization
